Appreciate The Goodness
INGREDIENTS:
9 ready-bake lasagna noodles
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 pound Jimmy Dean sage sausage
1 large onion diced
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
3 teaspoons KYVAN Gourmet Steak & Hamburger Seasoning
2 tablespoons white sugar
16 oz jar KYVAN Mild Salsa
2 (15-ounce) cans tomato sauce
1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
1 1/2 cups small curd cottage cheese
1 1/2 cups Parmesan & Romano cheese
2 tablespoons dried parsley
2 large eggs beaten
16 oz bag of shredded mozzarella
DIRECTIONS:
In a large saucepan, combine ground beef, sausage, and onions. Cook over medium heat until meat is browned; drain.
Return meat to the pan on medium-low heat and add steak seasoning, oregano, sugar, basil, salsa, tomato sauce, and paste. Simmer 20-25 minutes.
In a bowl, combine cottage cheese, parmesan, parsley, and eggs.
Spoon 1 1/3 cups of meat sauce into bottom of a greased baking pan (9” X 13”). Place 3 uncooked lasagna noodles on top of sauce. Do not overlap noodles. Spread 1 cup of cottage cheese mixture over noodles, top with 1 1/3 cups of meat sauce and 1 1/3 cups mozzarella cheese. (Repeat process 2 more times).
Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes covered, remove foil and bake additional 20-25 minutes uncovered. Optional: Sprinkle Parmesan Cheese on top and Serve with garlic bread.
